The Register has an interesting piece about calling 0870 'non geographic' numbers - the bane of most people's lives, and even more of a bane when it comes to calling them on mobiles.
What's most interesting is that Ofcom says such calls 'should' be treated as normal national minutes and come within normal bundling arrangments.
But the devil is in the detail says The Register noting that T-Mobile treats this as advisory and instead doubled its prices.
O2 appears to have gone one better twisting Ofcom's words as if it means that such calls should be out of bundle (work that one out). These details were sent in an email to customers apparently.
It would seem the 0870 numbers (which are like a rash across our telephone system) are treated as a rather nice cash cow by some providers
