Don't sleep with your mobile
On initial inspection this sounds like the usual research story that won't stand up to close scrutiny, yet will get a lot of headlines, but you never know.
A Swedish research group has found that using a mobile phone before going to bed can disrupt your sleep patterns in the form of less deep sleep and even insomnia, headaches and confusion. All this due to the radiation from the phone.
The study, by the Karolinska Institute and Wayne State University, was based on 35 men and 36 women - statistically insignificant, but interesting if it can be replicated. Also interesting because the research was funded by Mobile Operators Association, who presumably would prefer us to make calls any time of day or night.
The Operators Assocation recommends using a landline late at night and not keeping your mobile beside the bed.
